Felix Lieftuchter

Most of the murals at the Cathedral were painted by Felix Lieftuchter, a native of Cincinnati. HERE'S an interview conducted when he was in his 90's, for the Diocese of Salt Lake City. Lieftuchter painted murals at cathedrals in Salt Lake City, Cleveland, and Wheeling, West Virginia.

Thanks Jeffrey for the post and link to the interview.
I grew up in the old west end (Glenwood Ave.)and attended Rosary Cathedral school. Two of my sisters were married at Cathedral, fond memories of family baptisims, first holy communions, confirmations, choir especially at Tenebrae, altar server, Bishop Donovan's paper boy (morning Toledo Times) etc.

Is the Cathedral exhibit still at the Toledo Museum of Art? I will be bringing up my family between Christmas and New years and will make my yearly stop at the Museum.

Thanks again for your blog and I hope your christmas will be merry.
