Up in the Museum . . .

At the Seneca County Museum in Tiffin, there is a small exhibit of historic items from local churches.  Included are two paintings from a set of Stations of the Cross from St. Joseph's church.  They date from the 1860s.

Corpus Christi Procession in Tiffin

There's a fine photo gallery of Tiffin's Corpus Christi procession HERE.  Participants walked from St. Joseph's parish, through downtown, to St. Mary's parish, with several stops for prayer along the way.

John Baptist Verment

From the Massillon paper, an interesting article about John Baptist Verment, architect and stone carver whose work can be found throughout Ohio. He's credited with designing St. Hedwig's in Toledo, and his carvings can be seen in cemeteries in Tiffin and Milan.

Pictured above, a crucifix he carved at St. Francis Convent, Tiffin.
