Sacred Symbols at Crestline

As part of the renovation of St. Joseph Church in Crestline, architect Daniel DeGreve produced an illustrated guide to the sacred symbols of the church.  It explains everything from the shape of the structure itself to smaller details, such as selection of color and stencil design.  Photos from the church’s history are included too.  A remarkable work -- it would be very useful to anyone working on a similar parish project.

St. Joseph, Crestline

Concept renderings for the proposed renovations at St. Joseph, in Crestline, have been presented to the parish by architect Daniel DeGreve. I understand they're being received favorably. That's very good news.
The fake stone facing would be removed.
The sanctuary, which is a bit bland, though far from the worst I've seen would end up looking like..........
......this. There, now, I thought that would bring a smile to your face. Good work. Let's hope it happens.

St. Joseph, Crestline

I'll be posting some pictures of St. Joseph's over the next couple days. They were provided to us by Daniel DeGreve, who's working with the parish on renovation plans. Sounds interesting. I'll look forward to seeing how this progresses. You'll find links to pages discussing the plans at the parish WEBSITE I'll have more to say in the next post.

I really like this. I'm just not sure I like it as an altarpiece.
