Stained Glass in Tiffin

The stained glass windows at both St. Mary's and St. Joseph's in Tiffin are listed as the work of the Munich Studio of Chicago. A brief history of the studio can be found at the link:

Ignace Schott

The mural of St. Boniface at All Saints parish in New Riegel is credited to Ignace (Ignatius) Schott and W. Hofstette of Detroit in 1877.

Veni Veni Emmanuel

St. Michael, Gibsonburg

The first church -- according to Mossing's history of the diocese, the building had previously served as a Lutheran meeting house, and was purchased for $500 in 1892. The current church was completed in 1905.

St. Joseph, Crestline

I'll be posting some pictures of St. Joseph's over the next couple days. They were provided to us by Daniel DeGreve, who's working with the parish on renovation plans. Sounds interesting. I'll look forward to seeing how this progresses. You'll find links to pages discussing the plans at the parish WEBSITE I'll have more to say in the next post.



I really like this. I'm just not sure I like it as an altarpiece.
