The spire may be the most noticable improvement, but they've also done an incredibly good job with the grounds.

I understand that spire has state-of-the-art lightning protection built in ... it's not a matter of IF it gets hit again, it's a matter of WHEN ... the church is on a hill. By far the highest object anywhere around. Even the steeple-less base was hit in 1998 ...
