Located in the countryside south of Holgate is the church of Sacred Heart. I was able to take a ton of photos while I was there.
A very excellent interior, not effected by renovations.
This statue of St. Cecilia was in a very interesting spot, just in front of the door to the balcony.
Interesting that there is a gate.
It's a little hard to see, but this is a statue of St. James the Great.
St. Jude Thaddeus
Also hard to see, but it is St. Bartholomew.
St. Matthew the Apostle
St. John the Apostle
And finally, St. Andrew.
St. Mary Magdeline on the left, Mary in the middle and St. Ann on the right.
St. Theresa of the Little Flower
The confessional was very interesting. the main walls were gone, but the door remained
St. Rita
This statue was unique. There was no name at the bottom, only a year. I think its the resurrected Jesus.
St. Aloysius on the left, St. Joseph in the middle and St. Anthony of Padua on the right.
I have noticed that many historical catholic churches have an angel carrying a shell with holy water in it.
