Exceptional bell tower. Good entrance, as well. It was produced by the same firm that designed the Cathedral.

Formerly St. Anne's and there were "chime/bell/carillon speakers and TV antennas for the rectory in the tower once upon a time, before the local cable company.

The pigeon/bird crap was everywhere too, even in the lower tower sections, thanks to an improperly closed hatch…
Pigeons=rats with wings. My Panamanian family connections make soup of them.
Too bad they wreckovated the inside. Now, where did I put that tabernacle?? I've been in that Church when the local ladies literally have exercise class in the Church. This is no joke. What a pity and really an abomination.
If that's the worst wreckovation Toledo has to face, we're doing all right. I can't say a good word about the chairs and the altar in the middle, but at least they left those wonderful altars alone. It could have been a lot worse.
You're right, though, a church is no place for an exercise class.
Granted, most of the architectural features were maintained. However, I find it inexcusable to try to "modernize" a structure that is anything other than modern. There is an agenda of change with these wreckovations that speak little of the tradition of the Mass, nor of the current prevailing winds of change. Putting the tabernacle in little room down a hall speaks volumes as to the real source of their "artistic" inspiration.
You'll get no argument there. I was just relieved they didn't do any permanent damage. It can all be repaired easily, except perhaps, the damage done in exposing children to such heterodox nonsense.
