St. Louis, Custar

The top two pictures appear to be from about 1895-1900. That tower's perfect.
The church was built in 1889.
The old church and school, built in 1864, photographed c1887. They were in the village of Wirtzburg, about a mile and a half from the present church. The school was used until about 1912.
A view of the present church, at the left, from Milton Center.
Thanks again to David for e-mailing the pictures.

There is a good article about St. Louis, Custar, in "Historical & Biographical Record of Wood Co." from 1897. It says interior decoration was work of F.X. Hefele, grad. of Academy of Painting in Munich. "Artists of Ohio" says he came to U.S. in 1870, and in 1881, he & his corps of Cincinnati artists painted St. Michael's in what is now Ft. Loramie, OH. Oh, now that about knocked me off my chair -- amazing is an understatement! Another magnificent masterpiece in a small town!

Another shot from the Cross-Tipped Churches website, albeit with no info entered:
