Immaculate Conception, Old South End

I believe that is where my paternal grandfather was received into the Church... I had never been in it though!

It is most pleasing to see the sanctuary wasn't wreckovated! It will be easy enough to move that table one day!

Father Steele and I made it up to the Josephinum outside of Columbus for Mass this weekend... It was nice to see all of the seminarians - over 180 of 'em! - but sadly, the chapel was still in need of some de-wreckovation. Honestly it looked pretty spartan.

Always heartening to see parishes that did not have the same fate befal them.

The altar's been move one Sunday in each of the last two months for the Tridentine Mass. Easy enough, if you have at least five people to carry it.

That is happy news!

It also is kind of funny in what it says about the altar they added and the "tables" that have been used in some places! For the life of me, I cannot imagine the "old school altars" (even the rarer free-standing ones) back in the day being able to be moved around!

What a beautiful church. I haven't forgotten about those side altar photos. I didn't make it to St. Joseph's outside of Mass last weekend but I will get those photos soon.
