Father Chevraux was born, in France, in 1848. His family came to Louisville, Stark County, Ohio, when he was six.
Father Chevraux was pastor of St. Mary, Norwalk from 1885 to 1897. In 1900, he was assigned to Immaculate Conception Parish, in the Old South End. He remained there until his death in 1916.
