A tribute to the treasure trove of ecclesiastical art and architecture in the Diocese of Toledo.
I've been checking out your blog for the past few months ... and it is awesome ! ... I have been researching Ohio and Pennsylvania church architecture for a while now -- in particular, one specific architect. The architect is William P. Ginther. Ginther, born and raised in Akron, Ohio, was the architect for Good Shepherd/Toledo; St. Mary/Norwalk; Sacred Heart/Bethlehem ... among others. I am currently gathering information on his buildings for a book that I will be designing and writing. An interesting side note -- St. Mary/Norwalk was Ginther's first church design (on his own). If anyone has any information, or visual documentation on the above buildings, I would love to hear from you. (My email: AJV1963@aol.com) ... Jeffrey --- I could probably talk w. you for hours about church architecture ! ...My best -- Chip Valleriano
Excellent! E-mail is on the way. More will follow tomorrow.
