Information Please?

This...the best word I can think of is...delightful building is in Norwalk. The sign, in front, says Sorrowful Mother Shrine. Anyone know anything about it?

I'd like to know something about this shrine, too. Apparently, it's not connected to the Shrine of the Sorrowful Mother in Bellevue.

This shrine is right down the street from my house, and I've walked to it on a number of occasions with my kids. The doors are locked, so it's not open to the public.

This is seriously weird. Beautiful building, well maintained, but no one seems to know why it's there.

I know why. It is connected with St. Paul's in Norwalk. It is one of their earlier churches. It is a shrine because the parish church is now at the present site. I've heard that they still have Masses there during the summer (it's not heated in the winter). If you want to know times for Masses call St. Paul's. It is not in any way connected with the Bellevue shrine. I've been in it, it's simple, but nice.

This chapel is under the care of St. Paul's church in Norwalk. This is the site of the first Catholoc Church in Norwalk - St. Peter's. ST. Mary's and St. Paul's came from this original parish. St. Paul's retained the property including the cemetary behind the chapel. The original church building was torn down. During the summer months there is a Mass in the chapel on Wednesday evenings at 5:00 pm.

Thank you. This building is so nice, I'll have to say some good words about it. Anyone know when it was built?

The old wooden church was torn down to make way for the Shrine which was built in 1928 by Mrs. Margaret Theisen Fisher, mother of the Fisher brothers of Norwalk and Detroit(Body by Fisher).
