Ahhhhh ... that's not what it looks like now, if their website is any indication ... I'm afraid to ask what happened to this lovely old building ...
Torn down, no doubt. Here, I can understand it. There's no way this one would have worked for a congregation of 3500.
Ahh, I see. There's a post from last November that shows the old church in its entirety. It's sometimes easy to see a church like that as being larger than it really was. At least there are photo remembrances like this. It really was beautiful, though ... The building shown on their website is intriguing enough -- I'd like to see more of it.
