Museum of Divine Statues, Lakewood

Over to the east, the Museum of Divine Statues has opened in Lakewood, Ohio, in the former St. Hedwig's church. Artist Louis McClung restores statues, and many items from closed churches in the Cleveland area are on display. More information at their website HERE.

An exhibition of reliquaries, “Treasures of Heaven: Saints, Relics and Devotion in Medieval Europe,” will be at the Cleveland Museum of Art through January 17, 2011.

"The Love of God Revealed in Glass and Stone"

Over in Cleveland, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, there will be a program, "The Love of God Revealed in Glass and Stone: The Noble Features of the Cathedral."
Historic Art and Architecture lecture with Douglas Hoffman, AIA of Weber Murphy Fox.

(Up until 1910, the Toledo Diocese was part of the Cleveland Diocese. The current St. John's Cathedral is on the same site as the original, with the "rebuilding" taking place in 1948.)
