Holy Trinity, Bucyrus

The second church for Holy Trinity parish, dedicated in 1888.

Seriously curious. The whole building is a design so common you can find a duplicate in every American county, but whoever designed it added two tower caps that were just the opposite. BTW, the spire probably tends to keep people from noticing just how unusual that Rhenish helm cap, on the shorter tower, is.

Between this and the postcard showing the interior of what that lovely old church looked like -- they have an all-modern one now -- there must be something in the water in that town ...
