Now this was very interesting. Look at that arrangement of windows above the door.

You see the same arrangement in pictures of the first St. Ann Church (Fremont, built 1843), and in the first St. Rose Church (Perrysburg, built as a Universalist church at about the same time.) Jeffrey Smith said...: That was fairly common on 19th century biuldings of this form, but their survival rate would be low. I suspect it was a New England influence, since a lot of the older Protestant buildings up there had small spires in the place of corner turrets.
