Fr. Lamantia married my parents in IC church in 1948. My mother was a Methodist and my father a Catholic. Though my parents divorced in 1958, my mother faithfully continued to raise us in the Catholic faith until we were of age. I drifted away for 25 years, but after a conversion experience in 1992, came back home to the only faith that I can ever be a part of. I feel a strong attachment to IC parish as my father and all his family were parishioners there. It is a beautiful church and it continues to be a foundation of faith for a new era of Catholics in the neighborhood.
