St. Joseph parish in Green Springs functioned mostly as a mission of parishes in neighboring towns, beginning in 1854. In 1872, the church pictured above was built. Gradually, parish families moved away from Green Springs in search of employment opportunities, and the mission was closed in 1915.Currently, Green Springs is home to a Catholic long-term care hospital, St. Francis Health Care Centre: http://www.sfhcc.org
