Coming Tomorrow
Due to a fortuitous set of circumstances, I ended up in Lagrinka today, just long enough to get some quick snapshots of St. Hedwig and St. Adalbert. For me "some quick snapshots" means about eighty of them.
when the missus and i were first married, we lived in Lagrinka for the first 5 years of our life together - our church was St Adelbert - one Mass a weekend was in English, the rest in Polish
My pastor's retirement condo is only a block from my apartment, so I hitched a ride to Mass. We had to drop someone off in North Toledo afterward, so both churches were on the way home and he was more than willing to make a couple quick stops.
I see you get a shot of the "tree" trying to grow out of the alcove Saint Hedwig sits in. That will soon be removed, don't worry.
ReplyDeleteWhat brought you out my way - just out of curiosity?
Can't wait to see them.
ReplyDeleteI went to St. Adalbert for Grade school.. still a little broken hearted over the school being closed.
