I'm not quite sure what to make of this one. It's certainly different, but that second projection off the front throws it a bit out of whack.
It's hard to guess without a close-up of the side, but I wonder if the whole front, including the tower might not have been added or substantially altered later. The side looks like the old German churches, but the front is completely different.

In Mossing's history, it says the church was completed in 1916, and that the entrances to the church were enclosed in 1958.
ReplyDeleteAlso notes that 12 priests and 19 sisters came from the parish (as of 1962), which seems remarkable.
Not for those days. IC managed about twenty priests and more than fifty nuns, as I recall. All depended on whether the atmosphere was enouraging.
