Immaculate Conception, Old South End

Cleaning and repairs after the fire. The new rose window, which is bigger than a two-story house, had been installed and the blind arcade built above it.
The building to the left was the convent. It's still there, but is used by a charity, La Posada.

  2. The American habit of consciously imitating long-term processes. A lot of European churches had two different towers, because they were built a century or more apart.
