That is correct. If you go to the Ohio History journal website, v. 69http://publications.ohiohistory.org/ohstemplate.cfm?action=toc&vol=69there is a good article about Francisca Bauer, who helped start the parish.
Just goes to prove that you don't have to spend a lot of money to build a magnificent church.
Very simple, but servicable. The spire is the best feature. What it may lack in presentation, it more than makes up for in historical importance.
