Same Architect & Artist as Rosary Cathedral

Carlow University in Pittsburgh has announced plans to tear down its St. Agnes Center (formerly a parish.)    This building was designed by John T. Comes, initial architect of Rosary Cathedral, and features murals by Felix Lieftuchter, who did a great deal of work in Rosary Cathedral as well.

St. Patrick Movie in Theaters March 17 & 18

"I Am Patrick," a biographical movie of St. Patrick, will play in theaters in Toledo, Sandusky, Findlay, and Mansfield on March 17 and 18, 2020.  More info HERE.   Old Patrick is played by John Rhys-Davies, familiar from Lord of the Rings and Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Pope Francis Names Ste. Anne in Detroit a Minor Basilica

On March 1, 2020, Pope Francis granted the title of "minor basilica" to Ste. Anne church in Detroit.
In 1823, Fr. Gabriel Richard of that parish traveled to the Fremont, Ohio, area to minister to French Catholics.  You can read more details HERE.
