Caravaggio in Columbus
The Columbus Museum of Art will display Caravaggio's Ecce Homo (Behold the Man) in an exhibit from October 21, 2011 to February 5, 2012. The painting is on loan from the Musei di Strada Nuova in Genoa, Italy, and will be shown with 10 paintings from other artists who were influenced by Caravaggio. Judge Gilbert Harmon
A Common Pleas Court judge in Lucas County, Gilbert Harmon was born in Thorndyke, Maine on March 30, 1834 and was a graduate of Tufts College. He arrived in Toledo in 1867, and in 1869 he became a Catholic, attending St. Francis de Sales church.
He died on August 17, 1909, still practicing law at the age of 75.

FYI, Holy Assumption Orthodox Church in Marblehead will have its Halupki (cabbage roll) Festival on Sunday, August 21, 2011 -- good food, music, and tours of the historic church. Details are HERE.
