St. Patrick, Galion
St. Patrick in Galion started as an English-speaking parish from the German congregation of St. Joseph. It lasted from 1871 until 1953, when it was merged back into St. Joseph's.

Claudia Quigley Murphy
Born in Toledo in 1863, Claudia Quigley Murphy attended school at the Ursuline Convent of the Sacred Heart. She began a career in journalism as a correspondent for the Cleveland "Catholic Knight," then served as managing editor of the Grand Rapids edition of the "Michigan Catholic." Later in life she acted as a home economics consultant to major companies, writing books and articles. Her book The History of the Art of Tablesetting can still be found in many libraries.
