Rosary Cathedral, as it might have been

Some pictures of one of the earlier plans, scanned from Chronicle of the Cathedral Chapel Parish; Vol. 2, Number 1, which was apparently printed in 1920.

Immaculate Conception, Deshler

The parish's second church building, used from 1898 - 1962. At the time, it was one of the smallest churches in the diocese, according to Mossing's history.

Parish Twinning

There's an article in today's Blade about the recent announcement . Makes sense. While I may have a few points of disagreement with him, I have to say this. Bishop Blair knows what he's doing, he's doing a damn good job of it, and he's doing it with a much finer hand than some of his colleagues have. The local whiners are a bit delusional of they think the Toledo Diocese has been hard hit by parish realignments.
As usual, the Blade found one such whiner to comment. In reading the article, it's a good idea to remember that such whiners are a tiny minority. After the parish closings, most people were mature enough to just accept reality. Time to ignore the few who didn't. Their opinions don't matter.
