St. Mary, Tiffin

The sacristy. I've been in there...one of the nicest sacristies around.

A wedding from 1958. I posted this to provide a better look at the old main altar at St. Mary's.

All photos courtesey of Adam Gibson.

Most people don't realize this, but the cabinetry in the sacristy would have served as an additional altar for priests to celeibrate a daily private Mass - note the very shape of it.

It also would have served as an alternative tabernacle for reserving the Blessed Sacrament on Good Friday or occasions when it might have been better to remove it from the main sanctuary (like during construction or repairs...)

I just have to say that I love the bride's dress. ;-)
